Privacy policy

Effective 2 October 2026

Nocturne collects no data. There is no account, no server and no connection: everything you enter stays in your phone's memory, and is gone when you uninstall the app.

Who publishes the app

Nocturne is published by an independent developer based in Belgium. The publisher's full legal details appear on the app's listing in the Google Play Store.

What the app stores

To build your sleep plan, Nocturne keeps on your device:

This information is stored in the app's private storage, on your phone only. It is sent to nobody — not to the publisher, not to a third-party service, not to an analytics server. The app requests no internet permission.

Permissions requested

Purchases

Buying Nocturne Plus is handled entirely by Google Play. The app never sees, receives or stores any payment data. Google provides the publisher with aggregated sales reports, with no buyer identity. Those payments are covered by Google's privacy policy.

Review prompt

After several weeks of use, the app may show the Play Store review dialog once. That dialog belongs to Google; Nocturne learns neither whether you left a review nor what you wrote.

Deleting your data

Since no data ever leaves your device, the publisher has nothing to delete: it never received anything.

Your rights

The GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability over your personal data. Those rights are exercised against the controller holding your data — here, nobody: the publisher processes no personal data about you. You keep full control of what is stored on your phone.

Children

Nocturne is intended for people working shifts and is not directed at children. As no data is collected, the app processes no information concerning minors.

Health

Nocturne offers sleep-hygiene guidance based on general principles of circadian biology. It is not a medical device, it makes no diagnosis, and it does not replace the advice of a health professional. If you sleep badly over a long period, see a doctor.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date. Should a change ever introduce data collection — which is not planned — your explicit consent would be requested in the app beforehand.
